KO-2
Pipe and cable detector KO-2 is designed for locating power or communication cables and pipes in the ground up to several meters deep. With the help of the instrument it is possible to determine the location depth of cable or pipe from the ground.
Cable detector set contains the signal receiver and the signal generator. Accessories: signal generator loop antenna, cable sorting probe, miniature signal generator - pipe probe, cable fork, cable coupler etc.
In passive mode only the signal receiver is used and the objects are searched by the electric field generated around the cable under voltage or generated around the cables and pipes by circulating in the ground rambling current ( 50 Hz frequency). The gas pipes are searched by the change in the intensity of electric field generated around the gas pipes by the cathod protection (100 Hz frequency). Signal receiver is equipped with headphone and indicator for evaluating the signal intensity.
In active mode both the signal generator and receiver are used. The cables or pipes are searched and followed in the ground by the frequency 2.43 kHz generated by the signal generator. The regulation of the power enables to choose the optimal working conditions. The signal generator is coupled with cable or pipe galvanically or inductively.
