Radiometer PAKRI-2
The radiometer PAKRI-2 is a portable device for the detection of total γ-radiation. The device may be used also for the evaluation of total β- and γ-radiation.
The device has long telescopic handle what enables the operator to control the radiation level from distance, e.g. to examine the train carriages, trailers, cars etc.
The radiation indicator PAKRI-2 comprises the radiation detector, the electronic unit and the telescopic handle with maximum length of 4 m. The electronic unit is fastened to the basic handle, the radiation detector to the top of the last section of the handle. The detector has easily adjustable filter for β-radiation.
The reading on the LCD shows either the dose rate or the detector pulse frequency. In parallel the device has also the sound signal enabling to evaluate the radiation level by signals frequency. The audio alarm will start if γ-radiation dose rate exceeds 10 μSv/hr. If ordered the alarm point may be adjusted to any other value of dose rate.
- Norm. – normal, with measuring period of 4 s, the reading renews after every 2 s
- Prec. – precise, with measuring period of 30 s, the reading renews after every 2 s
For safe transport PAKRI-2 is placed into the wooden trunk.
