Radiometers PAKRI-E and PAKRI-EM

Radiometer PAKRI-EThe radiation measuring devices PAKRI-E and PAKRI-EM are a portable devices for the detection of either total α-, β-radiation or only γ-radiation. They comprise the electronic unit and two radiation detectors placed together inside the plastic case. The detectors have the filters for total α-, β-radiation.

Due to the type of the radiation detectors the device has the direction-dependent characteristics for α- and β-radiation (while filters removed). This enables to locate exactly the small radiation sources from nearby and roughly the intensive radiation sources from distance.

The reading on the LCD shows the dose rate of total α-, β-, γ-radiation or only γ-radiation. In parallel the device has also the sound signal giving the operator the possibility to evaluate the radiation level by the signals frequency. The audio alarm starts if γ-radiation dose rate will exceed 10 μSv/hr. If ordered the other alarm point may be adjusted.

The device has two measuring modes:
  • Norm. - normal, with measuring period of 4 s,  the reading renews after every 2 s.
  • Prec. - precise, the  arithmetic mean value of all registered dose rate readings after switching the radiometer on in the measuring point. The mean value renews after every 2 s.

PAKRI-EM will save the measuring results in the memory. Connecting the device to PC (with special cable) it will be possible to present the saved data report.
